Absolute Braids Salon was born out of the owner's passion for creativity in the art of Beauty; not just to do hair but to be passionate about it. Tonia, the visionary and owner, has many decades of industry experience. She started braiding as a very young girl. She would watch her older sister do their siblings' hair while getting getting all the younger kids ready for school. This inspired the then 8 year old to dream of one day becoming a successful hair braiding professional instead of carrying on the family business--tailoring and design.

My Vision
I had never touched anyone's hair before, but I just knew I could braid. So, I asked my older sister to please let me braid her hair--but she refused. Then, one day I caught her sleeping with her hair loose. "Whoo!" I said to myself. I snuck and braided her hair in cornrows and sat anxiously by her bedside until she woke up. When she finally did, she was nervous about how braids had gotten put in her hair. After learning I had done them, she was amazed! Since that moment, I've been amazing clients with my creativity, ingenuity, and incredible attention to detail.
